Hi, one of my favorite things about Mana is Pablo's clever lyricism! He uses the manananggal, a Filipino mythical creature that separates its upper body from its lower half (yeah it is scary) and flies, as a metaphor for reaching great heights while staying grounded and never forgetting your roots. It's such a smart way to weave Filipino mythology into the song. Years later, many of us (A'tin) are still hoping it gets an official music video because it deserves so much more love. Please give this a try you won't regret it!

Just an FYI, SB19 will be covering Francis M’s song “Mga Kababayan”, translates to My Fellow Countrymen, in the Dream Works movie, “Forgotten Island”, which will be released in US theaters on September 25, 2026.

It's about time Jfragment reacted to Lola Amour! Not metal, but supposedly a Filipino rock band (not sure if I agree with that genre, but ok). What sets them apart from other current bands is their brass section. These kids are friends from high school, write their own music, and are fun performers. They're slated to perform at one of the F1 stages in Singapore this year. They have a lot of Wish Bus perfs too, but the Cozy Cove is always fun! This isn't their most popular, most radio-friendly hit (which would be "Raining in Manila")... now I'm second-guessing if I should've requested that instead but yeah basically my suggestion is any performance by Lola Amour. 😅
